Seriously, though, I know you guys are baking. I've seen the clips of the players dropping out during the Open. Here in TX, where we're air conditioned seven ways to Sunday, 102 is normal.

I haven't been to Texas, but some say the heat in Australia is worse because of the depleted Ozone layer. I don't put much merit in that though. Hot is hot anywhere.

I guess I'm used to the tepid 20-30 we usually get here. Down South copped it far worse than we did. Adelaide was 46C/114F earlier in the week.

It hit 43 today at my place, I was going to work on the tractor I'm fixing up, but I got out to the shed and gave up. The biggest problem is the humidity, if it was a dry heat I'd be fine...

I grew up in YL. My own neighborhood went up in flames when YL had that big fire. The house I used to live in was one of the lucky ones that didn't catch fire.

One of my buddies was from southern Oz and said it would get very very hot, almost Death Valley hot in the summers.

When I was out in west Texas I saw 110F pretty regularly but the humidity was nothing, so you didn't notice it as much. You did have to drink a lot more water to keep up though.
